內容簡介: Prediction of structure-borne
noise and sound propagation can play important roles in the design of
many products. Examples include, noise caused by vibrating structural
components, transmission of sound through thin panels, and the acoustic
performance of piezoelectric devices. Solving these types of acoustic
wave propagation problems (and many more) is possible using ANSYS
Mechanical 14.5, where the fluid and structural domains are solved
simultaneously. This webinar will explain how vibroacoustic simulations
are set-up, solved, and post-processed using ANSYS Mechanical. Date:

【Air
Pollution is Not an Inevitable Byproduct of Economy: Simulation Helps to
Clean Air Despite Increasing Industrial Activity】

內容簡介: "In
Beijing or Delhi on a bad air pollution day, the number of fine particles
(known as PM2.5) can be higher than 300 micrograms per cubic meter, the
number should be about 25 or 35 micrograms." (BBC) CFD Experts
explain how modern technologies can ensure clean air despite intense
industrial activity. Air pollution is probably one of the most serious
environmental problems confronting us today. More than 7 million people
are dying prematurely every year due to health issues linked to Air
pollution*. Economic growth in the course of urban development is causing
serious air pollution problems in many cities across the globe. Human
activities such as transportation, construction, industrial activity,
mining, agriculture, etc. are the primary sources of air pollution. It is
usually defined as the presence of compounds or chemicals at levels which
pose a health risk. The limit of pollutant levels set by the World Health
Organization has led to increased research activity in predicting and
reducing pollution. Use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as a tool
for assessing the pollution-dispersion impact on the environment is
increasing due to its cost effectiveness and accuracy of predictions. CFD
models can be effectively utilized to predict the dispersion and dilution
of the pollutants in the atmosphere using the emissions, prevailing
meteorological conditions and street configurations to determine the
ambient air concentrations. Engineers and designers can also simulate a
combination of equipment and process parameters over a wide range of
applications causing pollution. Join this webinar to learn how ANSYS
fluid dynamic solutions provide insight and detailed understanding of the
formation and dispersion of pollutants as well as effective ways to
analyze and improve the overall air quality. Date: Tuesday, December 12,
