Since 1998, Volker has been at the Institute of Physics and the Center for Electronic Correlations and Magnetism at the University of Augsburg in Germany where he played an essential role in initiating and leading multi-institutional advanced research projects in the field of solid state materials. He has lectured on Computational Physics, Materials Science, and Electronic Structure Calculations, and is the author of a book on electronic structure methods and about 120 research articles and book contributions. In addition, he held invited professor positions at several institutes all over the world. |
